How do I indicate what my campaign financial support will be?
Every person will be asked to fill out a “Letter of Intent” indicating theamount of your support and how you will remit those gifts. Most folks will choose to give over three years, perhaps monthly or quarterly. Your pledge will be held confidentially with the Recorder. We ask thatyou prayerfully consider making your best gift, one that may even be a “stretch” for you to support this exciting project.
Who knows how much I’ve donated?
All donations are kept strictly confidential, unless otherwise requested, and known only to the campaign Recorder.
Are the donation(s) tax-deductible?
Yes - congress continues to value charitable deductions from individuals and corporations and the IRS supports those tax incentives. If you itemize your tax deductions, you can still take a deduction.
How much of my donation goes to actual construction cost?
Less than 3% of funds raised will go towards ongoing campaign work and communication; we have already paid the majority of construction planning and campaign costs.
Are there other ways to give in addition to monetary pledges?
Yes - you may wish to consider giving appreciated stock, life insurance policies, CD’s, real estate, etc. Please see the Ways to Give for additional information and ideas.
What if the Capital Campaign falls short of the $130,000 goal?
We know what a generous people you are and how much you want this project to succeed so that we can better share God’s love! We are not planning to fail! If it were to turn out that we fall somewhat short, we will not unduly burden the church with a large loan and the Consistory will carefully consider our options for going forward.
